About the Race

The USA TF certified 5k begins 8:00 am at Brittlebank Park, follows a scenic route around Hampton Park, past the Citadel, and ends back at Brittlebank Park. This is a family event and everyone is welcome. Immediately following the 5k, Clara's 50-yard Tot Trot will be held for children ages 2-5.

Proceeds

Race proceeds will benefit the mission of Keep Charleston Beautiful.

Strollers and Dogs

Strollers and leashed dogs are most welcome. There will be awards for the first stroller and first dog across the finish line. There will also be a pet water station for thirsty dogs.

Awards:

Cash awards for the top overall M/F winners. Prize Awards for top overall M/F 2nd & 3rd Place. Age group awards will be given to the top three M/F winners in each division:9 and under,10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, Masters 55-64, Grand Masters 65+.

Prizes will also be given to 1st dog and 1st stroller to finish.

Clara's Tot Trot

Children ages 2-5 years old are invited to compete in this FREE 50-yard dash. Children will run through a subsection of Brittlebank Park and end at their own finish line. All Tot Trotters receive a T-shirt and ribbon.

This year, we are introducing a 1/4 mile run for children ages 6-10.  The special course will run alongside the 5k course, and will have its own finish line.  All runners will receive a t-shirt, and registration is $10. 

Silent Auction

Before and after the race, you will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of goods and services from local venders. Cash and checks are accepted.

T-shirts:

Shirt pick up starts at 7:00 am on race day. If no size was marked on your registration form you will be given a large shirt. T-shirts will be available while supplies last for day-of race registrations.

• Team registration (5 or more): $15 per person

All registrations received after May 29, 2013 are $25.
